Treasure-Troving

Digging in the sand I hunt for treasure

Bliss hides in a trunk too big to measure

Yes, I see a loving love up here

Yet, there is the dirge of life to fear

Digging deep my fingers start to bleed

Soon I’ll have enough to go to seed

Soon I will unlock a secret plan

I will be a ship to sail on land

I will be what I have always known

More than just this flesh and bone on loan

More than clever boat to stay afloat

I will be the one with psychic goat

I will own an island and the sea

Men will kowtow chin stuck to their knee

I will find myself and find such peace

All ink dripping words will surely cease

(Huh, this joy was not trapped in the heart)

(Huh, it can’t be bludgeoned from fine art)

Digging in this mess — where is my treasure?

Soon I’ll dig up bliss too big to measure…
